BB:Who decides if our standards and benchmarks are what we really want to be teaching? Has that been discussed or does it need to be discussed?

Lower and Upper E.S. are to discuss which Units are covered currently and are they meeting the ‘skills’ mentioned in the Pre-K to 5 google docs chart.

Come to a common agreement on 3 units to be covered over the year.

Common assessments for the units and digital literacy skills.
(Information and tech skills)
Have a curriculum map from Pre-K to 5th Grade.

BB:Does SS curriculum meet the needs of our global student population? Are we helping student better understand their own culture and the culture that they are living in and how they have impact on the global world? Does our SS curriculum help students have a sense of the past so that they* canthemselves can be empowered empl em
Supplemental materials for teaching mapping skills and communities at appropriate reading levels.

More access to Digital Resources for Research and Technology integration projects. (Have a shared outline of which units are using digital resources throughout the year so there is less overlapping with facilities.)

BB:If we change an y standards and benchmarks to different grade levels, the library will need to know so that support material can be purchased before implementation.

BB: Libraries can provide current event resources...help create video, audio, and print materials to be used at different grade levels.
